The Sisters of Mercy from California to Michigan have begun a new Mercy moment. The six former regional communities are now the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas-West Midwest. While the West Midwest Community central administrative center is in Omaha, Nebraska, sisters and associates continue their ministries in their respective geographical areas. We serve in 32 states and four countries.

In what she calls “her former life,” Sister Rosanne McGrath was a junior high classroom teacher, a religious education teacher and principal of an elementary school. At age 60, she felt she needed a change. After time for reflection and the inspiration of meeting a Catholic woman therapist, she asked Mercy leadership if she could begin studies as a holistic healing practitioner. Now after 1,000 class hours, she has a business called Wholistic Healing Journey. For the last five years she has been presenting a four-hour workshop on health and wellness at St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo, Calif. Topics covered are prayer, diet, exercise, and massage. She is available to make this presentation to groups. Contact her at pinkie_mcgrath@yahoo.com.
