Sisters of Mercy candidate Taryn Stark has had a worldly life. That is, she's lived and traveled all over the world from California to Peru, to Africa, and to Fiji, but the Internet eventually brought Taryn back home. Her mother, Ruth, traveled in her job for the World Health Organization, taking her young family with her. The Sisters of Mercy in Burlingame, Calif., always provided a respite for Ruth who is a Mercy Associate and a close friend of the sisters, so Taryn spent many happy days on the convent grounds as a child.
