Prayers of petition, gratitude and simple presence are woven into the daily lives of the Mercy community. Catherine McAuley reminded her sisters, “Prayer is the spring of all virtues.” Today sisters, associates and companions are mindful of the helpfulness of their prayers for all and are eager to pray for others.

Associate Lee Flohe persuaded a group of her friends to begin a St. Vincent dePaul's thrift store 20 years ago in Traverse City, Mich.
